Ogasa Course (Hamaoka)
Ogasa Course (Hamaoka)
This magnificent course was just redesigned by world famous course designer Rees Jones (the youngest son of Robert Trent Jones) and opened on December 5th of 2019. Masterfully designed to take advantage of and preserve the natural landscape and foliage, its new design has seen the course go from a two green configuration to a one green configuration featuring exciting undulations and generous run off areas. Rees was able to rework the location by focusing on playability with minimal bunkering and new large undulated greens. This provides for plenty of tactical pin positions and the course also saw expanded tee options to suit all levels of golfers.

Surrounded by forest each hole here has its own individual character. The location has minimal elevation changes, however the designers expert use of the forest and natural water features will keep you enthralled throughout your round. The OUT course starts you off with a generous par 5 with a subtle uphill with a friendly slope on the left to give you that nudge towards the fairway you might need on your first tee shot. The second par 4 opens up nicely with some attractive bunkering down the left and a bit of O.B. on the right, but its quite generous allowing you to find your rhythm.
